Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre [ DESIDOC ] was
established by the Government of India on 29th July 1970 as a division
of Defence Research and Development Organization [ DRDO ]. Its office is
located at New Delhi. It act as a central information resource and a
publication wing of DRDO by providing scientific and technical
information based on its library and other information resources.
DESIDOC under DRDO invites applications from Indian Nationals for the recruitment of apprentices for the year of 2011 – 12 and also for 1 year training in various disciplines. Total 14 posts are available for Apprentices in the discipline of degree in library & information science, degree in computer science and diploma in library science. candidates with degree will get stipend of Rs. 3560/- per month while diploma holder will get stipend of Rs. 2070/- per month.
